Brittany

It’s Brittany baby!

Whether you love exploring, enjoying good food, or simply having a break, book a road trip to Brittany and just let yourself go!

Brittany, known as Little Britain is in west France and is the perfect place to visit at any time of the year. With the Channel on one side and the Atlantic on the other, Brittany’s coastline is the longest in France, so you can enjoy walks, take a boat trip or just go for a paddle.

Along the coastline of Brittany, there is the greatest collection of lighthouses in the world and these guardians of the sea are open for visitors. It takes exactly 365 steps to reach the summit of the Île Vierge lighthouse in Plouguerneau and boy is that steep climb worth it, as it’s the tallest freestone lighthouse in the world.

Take the time for a spot of animal watching as Brittany’s coastline is packed with sea mammals and birds. Catch a glimpse of the bottlenose dolphin, spot the grey seal resting in its favourite position called the “banana” which is its head and tail raised or stop to coo at the puffin, nicknamed the “sea parrot” due to its bright beak.

Dust the sand off your feet and stick on your hiking boots as Brittany is crammed with hiking trails. If you like trekking through forests, then a visit to the enchanted Broceiliande Forest is an absolute must or travel further to the Lake Maggiore region and explore some of the most beautiful nature parks.

Step back in time with the fascinating culture and heritage that Brittany has to offer. Get lost in the streets of centuries-old towns, accept the challenge of an Escape Game inside a medieval fortress, or dance until dawn to the Breton bagpipes. Brittany is a region brimming with legends and traditions, you just need to discover them!

Foodies rejoice as the cuisine from Brittany will make your mouth water with its extensive range of flavours from land and sea. Taste the ocean with fresh king scallops or dive into a crêpe topped with salted caramel. What better reason to explore and getting your steps in after tasting all these succulent dishes!

Whatever your pace in life, Brittany has it all, breath-taking coastlines, nature waiting to be discovered, and scrumptious food to be eaten. Get away from it all when you travel to Brittany.
